Concor carbon! [en]

It’s hard to find the perfect saddle. The kind of saddle you can ride forever with no pain, burning or compression of the pudendum. In our case, the ideal saddle is the San Marco Concor. The slope setting is quite tricky because the saddle top is slightly curved rather than flat. After a couple of tries, we finally got the adjustment just right! We’ve been riding this saddle for two and a half years, covering over 35,000km (we had to use other saddles because of sponsorship).

Our current Concor is so worn that it’s ready for retirement so we went hunting for a suitable successor. A simple replacement for another Concor would have warrantied a position as good and as durable. However it is quite heavy even with titanium rails and we’d prefer something lighter. We then trusted Samu Ilonen, a master in the making of full carbon saddles!

A mould has been created from the original saddle, taking over 20 hours of painstaking work to get the final shape. It is 124g lighter than the previous model with amazing rails integrated in the structure.
On the picture below, it looks like the new saddle is flatter than the previous one. Actually, the original Concor has sagged as we piled on the kilometers.

As you can see, the weight is 2.24 times lighter!

Admire the finish and the work realized on the rails and the junction with the shell
